This is Spud, the Great Crested Grebe. He is the mascot for our Suffolk and Norfolk Beer festival in September. He will be appearing on the front of the festival programme.

We think he needs a speech bubble. What do you think he should say?

Yorkshire Beer Festival 25th-28th February 2010

We are delighted to announce the dates of our biggest ever beer festival with over 140 beers featured, from 69 breweries.

There will be a £2 returnable deposit for glasses but other than that there is no entrance fee and all the entertainment is free.

Majestic Brass will kick the festival off on Thursday evening with a repertoire that has become a Bricklayer's Arms classic. The John Ongom Big Band, back by popular demand, will entertain us on Friday night and The World Famous Hammersmith Morris Men will dance on Saturday afternoon.

Following the success of the Cornish pasties at our last festival we have decided to make them again along with a vegetarian alternative.

25/01 – We are delighted to be featuring a brewery in our festival that is so new it doesn't even start producing beer until next month. It is the Wharf Bank Brewery and we will have 2 brand new beers, never before tasted. They are Tether Blonde 4.1% and Cam Fell 4.4%

Final Preparations…

We're just putting the finishing touches to our biggest ever Yorkshire Beer Festival which begins this Thursday 26th February at 5pm.

A few last minute changes are that the Hammersmith Morris Men will now be dancing for us at 1pm on Sunday and on Friday night, musical entertainment comes from DJ Steve Carnello.

Entrance to the festival is free, and all the entertainment is on the house! There will be a £1 deposit for your glass, which we'll refund to you as you leave.

UPDATE – Yorkshire Beer Festival 2009

The final preparations are being made for our biggest beer festival yet! Join us next weekend, Thursday 26th February until Sunday 1st March, for our Yorkshire Beer Festival – featuring beer from every single brewery in Yorkshire currently brewing.

In a last-minute change to the programme, we're sorry to say that Majestic Brass are sadly unable to join us. But Friday night is guaranteed to be a great night out with DJs Steve Carnello and Andy Gangadeen, and our old friends the Hammersmith Morris Men returning to entertain us on Saturday afternoon.

We're also pleased to announce our new pub quiz night, every Tuesday at 8pm. The first is on 27th January – come along and test your brain cells, before killing off a few of the weaker ones if you win our first prize of a £25 bar token.

We're delighted and excited to have been shortlisted for CAMRA's South West London Pub of the Year Award. The winner will be announced at the Battersea Beer Festival next month. Thank you to all our friends and supporters – please keep your fingers crossed!

The Bricklayer's Arms is proud to bring you our Cumbrian Beer Festival, 12th – 14th September 2008.

Cumbria has more microbreweries than any other county in the UK, and we're pleased to bring you a selection of the best beers from the region. Many of them have yet to be picked up by the Good Beer Guide, so come along to sample something new or enjoy old favourites from the far North of England.

Doors open at 12pm on Friday 12th September, and as ever our friends Majestic Brass will be providing entertainment on Friday evening.
