Bricklayer’s Wine List Goes English

The Bricklayer’s Arms is launching a brand new wine list, and it’s all English!

In a move that aims to support home grown talent and decrease our carbon footprint, we are delighted to announce that from Thursday 9th September we will be offering an exclusive choice of quality English wine.

It is hoped that this initial list will grow and grow until it becomes the most comprehensive English wine list to be found under one roof in the UK.

Yes, we know we have Dark Star beer here a lot but it’s just so good…

Remember, if we don’t have room to put them on a handpump they’re probably still ready in the cellar and we’ll be happy to pour them on gravity for you.

After the Richmond beers are finished we’re on to Two Bridges. This is a brand new brewery from Reading and we’re really looking forward to sampling their beer. We will be serving the following:

Bushell’s Cider

After intensive trials with our favourite cider customers we’ve decided to switch our cider to the more locally-produced Bushell’s Cider from Kent.

It’s a real cask cider at 6% and we’re sure you’ll enjoy a refreshing pint of it this summer!

This is Spud, the Great Crested Grebe. He is the mascot for our Suffolk and Norfolk Beer festival in September. He will be appearing on the front of the festival programme.

We think he needs a speech bubble. What do you think he should say?

Stonehenge and Tintagel Beers

What with the Summer Solstice almost upon us, we’ve gone all hippy dippy here at The Bricklayer’s Arms and ordered the complete range of Stonehenge Brewery Beers. It’s a while since we’ve had these in and we’re really looking forward to them.

They are:

Danish Dynamite 5%

We are also delighted to be featuring a new Cornish brewery called Tintagel.
We’ll be serving:

These will be ready from Thursday onwards. If they’re not on the bar, they’re probably still ready to pour on gravity in the cellar so do ask staff.

And don’t forget, we’re showing all the World Cup Football matches on our lovely big silver screen.

It’s such hot weather at the moment we thought we’d feature 3 breweries this week to slake your thirst.

Cricketers Wanted!

The Bricklayer’s Arms cricket season is now under way!

We always welcome new players, so if you wish to play at any point during the season please contact Chris Locke on chris.locke@standard.co.uk

We play a full season of midweek and Sunday games, all friendlies, from now until the end of September. The fixture list is here and in the menu on the right, and will be updated with results and match reports as the season goes on.
